Bokaro: DPS Bokaro celebrated the 73
The sacred festival of ‘Rakhi’ was also celebrated on the campus. Dedicating the day to the ‘Nature’ the Principal along with the teachers and the students tied ‘Rakhi’ to the trees as brothers in the school premises with the vow to save the trees and save nature.
Speaking on the occasion A. S. Gangwar said, “As our Tricolour is unfurled on this 73rd Independence Day, let us salute the strength of those who stood for the honour of the country and laid their lives for this glorious nation. On this Independence Day let us realize our responsibilities as a true citizen of the country. Let us come together to make India….a better India.”
A cultural programme was also organised to mark the occasion where all the staff members along with the students sang patriotic songs. On the eve of Independence Day students presented colourful cultural programme on the theme of ‘Glimpses of India’, ‘Immortal sons of the motherland’, ‘Patriotic Group Songs (‘We shall Over Come…’) and Dance.
