ANS: ESL Steel Limited, a national steel manufacturer from the Vedanta Group, participated in CII’s fourth Jharkhand Tribal Development Meet. The meet was aimed at enhancing the quality of life of tribal communities and creating a path for them to come into the mainstream of development.

The focus of the meet was to promote various schemes being offered by the Tribal Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED); discussing schemes and policies to utilize the tribal workforce and to offer employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to them. The meet was held broadly for their overall development and upliftment and to showcase success stories.

The virtual meet was attended by dignitaries including Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren who was the Chief Guest of the event.
