ANS I Bokaro: At least six participants from the state have been selected by the National Kavi Sangam, Jharkhand State Unit for the national competition, including two from Bokaro.
The winners of the competition organized by National Poet Sangam were honored in the prize distribution ceremony cum poetry meeting organized in Dumka on Sunday.
On Friday evening, the state level Shri Ram National Poetry Recitation Competition on Google Meet was held in the presence of the National President of National Poetry Sangam, Jagdish Mittal, presided over by Provincial President Sunil Khawade and under the conduct of Provincial Competition Convenor Rohit Ambasht.
The selected participants are Shreya Raj (Dhanbad), Shruti Ranjan (Bokaro), Jatin Kumar (Deoghar), Akshita Pathak (Bokaro), Ujjwal Jha (Dumka) and Dr. Surendra Kaur Neelam (Ranchi). The winners were honored with a citation, shield, dupatta, and a cash award, informed Arun Pathak Bokaro Metropolitan Unit President.
Shruti Ranjan, selected from Bokaro to represent the state of Jharkhand in the national competition, is a second-year student of Bachelor (History Honours) in Bokaro Women’s College and Akshita Pathak is a student of class X in DPS Bokaro.
Dr. Sanjay Sinha, Registrar, Sidho Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU), Dumka, was the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Sinha referred to Shri Ram as a cultural icon of India and an ideal representative of all of humanity’s hopes and dreams.
“In his life, he embodies everything that is right with the world and inspires others to do the same,” he added.
Dr. Lewis Marandi, a special guest, praised Rashtriya Kavi Sangam’s efforts and said, “Shri Ram’s character is a source of inspiration for people of all walks of life.” She congratulated all the participants, especially the daughters selected from Jharkhand for the national competition and hoped that they would illuminate the name of Jharkhand.
