Bokaro: Bokaro boy Rajeev is to show off his skills in the Philippines with his lightning-fast game and precise technique. He is participating in FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifier Window-1 and 2 competitions, which kicked-off in the Philippines today.

Since his childhood, Rajiv, alias Shiva, has been an all-around sportsperson; he has been trained at Bokaro Day Boarding Center and later been selected in the Indian Senior Basketball Team.

In the Philippines, Rajiv will play against New Zealand, the Philippines on 25 February, Korea on 27 and again against New Zealand on 28 February, informed Sanjeev Singh, his ex-coach at Bokaro.

Congratulating Rajeev on his selection again in the Indian team, Sanjeev said, “Rajiv is a promising player, he will scale new heights with his hard work and dedication.”

Rajiv began his career at Bokaro, and later he went to Rajasthan to develop his skills and game’s technology. Presently he is serving in the Indian Air Force, he said. With his hard work and dedication, Rajiv is fulfilling the wishes of his mother Jhulan Devi and father Santoshji, he said.
