ANS: Benjamin Netanyahu has made an astonishing return to power. In the Tuesday elections, his Likud party and its allies were victorious; the coalition won 64 of 120 Parliament seats.

In the 120-seat parliament or Knesset, Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud Party won 32 seats, while his right-wing religious and nationalist bloc won 64 seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu for his success in the Israeli general elections. He said, he is looking forward to continuing their joint efforts to deepen the India-Israel strategic partnership.

Netanyahu, 73, is Israel’s longest-serving Prime Minister, has been elected five times in the last 15 years.
