ANS: Students of DPS Bokaro have once again made their alma mater proud with their phenomenal performance in ‘Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP)’ – an initiative of CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) and NIScPR (National Assessment of Scientific Temperament and Aptitude) under the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India.
The vision of this examination is to assess and evolve the scientific temperament of the students in the presence of 21st-century facilities. The KAMP-National Assessment for Scientific Temperament and Aptitude (NASTA 2022) was conducted in January 2023, in which five students of DPS Bokaro registered their mark of excellence.
Krish Krejia (Class X) achieved a remarkable feat by claiming the recognition of being the state topper. He was also awarded as ‘The Critical Thinker’, and will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10000 along with the Certificate of Excellence. Shrestha Rupam Dwivedi (Class X) and Avani Priyadarshi (Class VI) are district toppers.
They will receive a Medal of Excellence and a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each, along with the Certificate of Excellence. Amogh Anand Jha (Class IX) and Shray Kashyap (Class V) receive a Certificate of Excellence for being toppers in their respective class categories.
Applauding the achievement of the students in ‘KAMP-NASTA’, Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, said that such exams ignite the scientific curiosity in students, thereby surfacing excellence in innovation. He motivated students to participate in such competitions to evolve as global leaders.
