ANS: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch the OneWeb India-2 mission from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SDSC-SHAR in Sriharikota on 26 March.
This is M/s. Network Access Associates Limited’s (OneWeb Group Company) second mission is under a commercial agreement with M/s. NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) to launch 72 satellites into Low-Earth Orbit.
On October 23, 2022, the first set of 36 satellites was launched in the LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1 mission.
LVM3 would launch 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites weighing approximately 5,805 kg into a 450 km circular orbit with an inclination of 87.4 degrees. This is LVM3’s sixth flight. The LVM3 completed five consecutive missions, including the Chandrayaan-2 mission.
Satellites provide space-based broadband internet services to people all over the world. Access Associates Limited will have over 600 satellites in space after the launch, providing internet from space services in various countries.
