ANS: The three-day cultural festival, ‘Avirbhav,’ concluded with a spectacular grand finale at Delhi Public School, Chas on Friday. The event saw an exceptional display of talent and enthusiasm as students from all four houses—Ganga, Yamuna, Chenab, and Satluj—performed captivating dances to patriotic songs.

The students of Chenab house, stole the show with their vibrant performance on the song “Sooraj Par Hum Kar Ke Sawari,” while the Satluj house left the audience spellbound with their mesmerizing dance to “Aankhon Mein Hai Svarnim Bharat.” Not to be outdone, the students of Yamuna House paid tribute to the nation through their expressive dance on “Vande Mataram.”

Meanwhile, the Ganga House showcased their exceptional skills and left the audience in awe with their performance. Through their energetic and emotional dances, the students not only exhibited their talent, but also conveyed a strong message of unity and patriotism.

Adding historical essence to the event, a reenactment of the brave Jhansi Ki Rani’s battle against the British forces was performed on stage, enthralling the audience.

The program was attended by an impressive gathering, with hundreds of students and dozens of teachers from Delhi Public School and esteemed guests from Pushp Sanshine School, Chas. Notable personalities present included Suresh Agrawal, Secretary – DS Memorial Society, Chas, Dean Jos Thomas, and Principal Pushpa Agarwal.

The performances were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges led by Vimal Kumar Patra, Department Head of Dance at GGPS Chas. The panel also included Dance Experts from St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro, Madhumita Bhauvik, and Chandrima Re.

In a heartfelt message, Dr Hemlata S. Mohan, Chief Mentor of DPS Chas, commended the students for their remarkable dance performances, which portrayed the lives of illustrious figures who contributed to India’s struggle for independence and the sacrifices made by courageous warriors and heroines.

Dr Mohan reaffirmed the school’s commitment to providing a holistic education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also nurtures various skills in students. She emphasized the significance of the new education policy, which encourages students to pursue their passions and interests.

Vice Principal Deepali Bhuskute highlighted DPS Chas’s continuous efforts to discover innovative ways to support the all-around development of its students. She celebrated the tremendous progress the school has made in the past six years, evolving into a fully-fledged institution dedicated to building confidence and capable individuals, ready to face future challenges.

Speaking on the occasion Agrawal, lauded the program’s success and extended his warm congratulations to the entire DPS family.

The grand finale was hosted with flair and charisma by students from Class 11C, Radhika Srivastav, Class 11A, Tanushree Hansda, Class 11B, Arisha Azin, Class 9B, Sudip Datta, and Class 9B, Rishabh Raj. The closing remarks were delivered by the talented music instructor, Shubhojit Mishra.
