ANS: Three Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro students will represent India in the Global Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition (HOMC) 2022-23.

Aavya Singh, in Class X, placed 6th in the Senior Category, while Kunal Anand and Vanshika Singh, in Class IX, placed 1 and 2 in the Junior Group. This feat earned them international recognition as the six highest-performing pupils in their groups.

The online competition drew over 30,000 students from 150 Indian teams. After a rigorous selection process, only 250 students advanced to the second round, and 25 were shortlisted for the third. Six students advanced to the final round.

HOMC, conducted by Meccademia Education Institute, seeks to motivate and identify math talent.

Dr A. S. Gangwar, DPS Bokaro Principal, praised the pupils’ outstanding achievement. He stressed that such exceptional feats come from enthusiasm and curiosity.
