#A total of 11 tech companies have launched their AI Chatbots
ANS: China has allowed its tech companies to release their ChatGPT-like chatbots to the Chinese public. Around 11 tech companies in China have launched their own AI chatbots, in a move similar to ChatGPT.
Baidu, a leading Chinese tech firm, has introduced its ‘Ernie Bot,’ a competitor to ChatGPT, for public use. This development showcases the rapid progress in China’s technology sector, leveraging the global trend of embracing artificial intelligence.
Following government approval, five prominent Chinese technology companies, including Baidu and the AI software powerhouse SenseTime Group, have unveiled their AI-driven chatbots to the general public. This marks a pivotal moment as these chatbots were previously limited to specific user groups and had not been officially launched for public access.
However, starting from a recent Thursday, these chatbots are now open to the broader public. Baidu issued a statement declaring the availability of Ernie Bot for public utilization. A representative from SenseTime also affirmed that their chatbot, SenseChat, is fully accessible to all users.
In addition to the established tech giants like Baidu and SenseTime, three emerging Chinese AI startups—Baichuan Intelligent Technology, Zhipu AI, and MiniMax—have also disclosed their public AI offerings on the same day.
