Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), a unit of SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited), has embarked on a promising journey by signing an initial three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NBCC India Limited.
This MoU lays the foundation for a collaborative effort in consultancy and project management services for forthcoming infrastructure-related projects encompassing BSL Plant, BSL Township, and the Jharkhand Group of Mines and Collieries Division of BSL.
The one-year MoU, inked on September 12, 2023, was formalized in the presence of key dignitaries, including Atanu Bhowmik, Director in-charge of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), and Additional Charge of Director in-charge of BSL.
Joining the momentous occasion were executives from both BSL and NBCC India Limited, including Praveen Doifode, CGM (Engineering), SK Sinha, DGM (Engineering), and Vinay Shankar, DGM (Finance).
According to the MoU, NBCC India Limited will assume responsibility for project management services in BSL Township, as well as overseeing the maintenance and repair of township infrastructure.
The scope of work encompasses daily civil maintenance for residential quarters, comprehensive maintenance of recently allocated quarters, civil maintenance for non-residential structures within the township, as well as road maintenance and associated tasks.
Moreover, NBCC will conduct evaluations to identify critical repair requirements for township quarters, including residential buildings that may be deemed unsuitable for habitation.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for BSL, as it will benefit from NBCC’s extensive expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
