ESL Steel Limited, a prominent steel producer in India under the Vedanta Group, reaffirmed its dedication to societal welfare through its Annual Blood Donation Camp. The company, renowned for its commitment to community development, has received accolades from various national and international organizations for its initiatives, particularly in health and wellness.

The ‘V for Society’ initiative by ESL Steel Limited, which focuses on employee volunteering, has been organizing the voluntary Blood Donation Camp annually. This year’s camp, held in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Bokaro, ESL Steel Limited’s CSR Department, and Citizens Foundation, saw remarkable participation, informed a PR official of ESL.

The event, hosted at ESL Steel Limited’s Siyaljori plant, attracted a diverse group of participants, including workers, contractual labourers, staff, technicians, officers, business partners, and management-level employees. The camp was a resounding success, with over 120 units of blood collected by the end of the day. This achievement solidified ESL Steel Limited’s position as the leading blood donor organization in Bokaro District, a recognition bestowed by the Indian Red Cross Society, Bokaro.

Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Civil Surgeon, Bokaro, attended the event as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the critical role of blood donation in saving lives.

Ashish Ranjan, Head of CSR, ER & PR at ESL Steel Limited, expressed gratitude to all participants, emphasizing their role in making the blood donation camp a success. He praised their generosity, which he believes embodies the spirit of compassion and community service.
