New Delhi: Campaigning has intensified for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha polls. Senior leaders of various political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.

Polling in this phase will be held for 57 Parliamentary Constituencies across seven states and a Union Territory on 1st of June.

These include, thirteen seats each in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, nine seats of West Bengal, eight seats of Bihar, six seats of Odisha, four seats of Himachal Pradesh, three seats of Jharkhand and one seat in Union Territory of Chandigarh will go to polls. A total of 904 candidates are in the fray in this phase.

Notably, seven candidates, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are in fray for the Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi Parliamentary seat. Besides PM Modi-Bharatiya Janata Party, Ajay Rai- Congress, Athar Jamal Lari-Bahujan Samaj Party, Gagan Prakash Yadav-Apna Dal (Kamerawadi), Koli Shetty Shivkumar-Yug Tulsi Party, Sanjay Kumar Tiwari-Independent and Dinesh Kumar Yadav-Independent candidates are in poll fray.

Elections in Varanasi will be held on June 1 in the seventh and last round of the general elections. Modi will base himself in the constituency from May 26 to June 1, while he carries out rallies and campaigns in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar as well as West Bengal, said sources.
