New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a retest for 1,563 candidates who received grace or compensatory marks in the NEET-UG examination. The retest is scheduled for June 23.
In a notification issued today, the NTA stated that it will soon issue a public notice and contact the affected candidates via email to ensure they receive the official communication.
This decision follows the Supreme Court’s observation on the report by the NTA’s High Powered Committee, which led to the withdrawal of the grace marks awarded to these students.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan addressed the media in New Delhi, refuting allegations of a NEET-UG examination paper leak. He emphasized that there was no corruption involved in the NEET examination process and welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision on the matter.
Pradhan assured that action would be taken against those responsible for any discrepancies in the examination, reiterating the government’s commitment to providing justice to students and parents.
