Bokaro: DPS Bokaro’s Primary Wing hosted an Investiture Ceremony to foster leadership qualities among its young learners for the academic session 2024-25. The event commenced with a melodious welcome song followed by the School Song, setting a ceremonial tone.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, the Principal, conferred badges and sashes upon the new Student Council members. The ceremony included an oath-taking segment, emphasizing the students’ commitment to their roles. The occasion was adorned with the vibrant display of all six house flags and an inspiring dance performance by the students.
Aniket Singh and Pratyush Kumar from Class V were appointed as Joint Head Boys, while Anwita Nandan and Bhavya Hazari, also from Class V, took their oath as Joint Head Girls. Other key appointments included Alina Hassan (Class IV) as Vice Head Girl, Reyansh Singh (Class IV) as Vice Head Boy, Aradhya as Cultural Secretary, Aanya Priyadarshni as Literary Secretary, and Viraj Hansda as Sports Secretary. Each of the six houses of the school also selected Captains, Vice Captains, and five Prefects.
The oath ceremony, led by the newly appointed Head Boy, emphasized the importance of upholding the school motto, ‘Service before Self,’ instilling a sense of responsibility in all Council members.
Dr. Gangwar congratulated the newly appointed Student Council members, urging them to carry out their duties with fairness and integrity, and to serve as exemplary role models for their peers. “Leadership is about turning vision into reality. These young leaders represent the future of our country,” Dr. Gangwar affirmed.
