Bokaro: DPS Bokaro has successfully completed a Karate training session aimed at imparting self-defense skills, self-discipline, and balanced physical, mental, and emotional development. In a recent belt grading test, 23 students from the school achieved impressive results.
The training, conducted in collaboration with the Sports Karate Association of Jharkhand, saw 21 students earn the Yellow Belt, one student secure the Green Belt, and another attain the Orange Belt.
The students’ achievements were celebrated during a special assembly on Tuesday, where certificates were presented by Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar and Khedu Gorai, General Secretary of the Association.
The students who received the Yellow Belt include Adya Prabha, Parina Panda, Arnav Jha, Ayansh Sharma, Aradhya Suman, Shivani Kumari, Nishtha Pandey, Anjali Sinha, Riddhvi, Anshika Gupta, Anvika Suman, Paridhi Jha, Apoorva Singh, Kritikesh Kumar Mishra, Ahimsa Kiran, Ayushi Shri, Anshula Shri, Jayesh Krishna, Sanvi Saluja, Divisha Vats, and Namya Pandey. Prateek Raj achieved the Orange Belt, and Sayati Sakshi earned the Green Belt.
Dr. Gangwar praised the students for their dedication and success, highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic development and the values of discipline and perseverance.
Speaking during the session, Gorai announced that top performers from each category will be selected for the Jharkhand State Karate Team, which will compete in the National Competition in Chandigarh from August 16-18, 2024. Students from other districts, including Ranchi and Jamshedpur, will also be considered for the team.
