New Delhi: SAIL Chairman Amrendu Prakash has expressed strong support for the Union Budget 2024, describing it as “prudent, positive, and conducive to economic growth.”

He noted that the Government has upheld its capital expenditure on infrastructure as outlined in the Interim Budget, providing substantial fiscal support for the sector.

Prakash highlighted that the continued emphasis on urban housing, rural infrastructure, road connectivity, and corridor development is expected to boost domestic steel consumption.

He further remarked that the Government’s commitment to improving connectivity and advancing infrastructure projects will have a broad impact, benefiting multiple sectors and contributing significantly to the country’s overall economic prosperity.
