Bokaro: Chinmaya Vidyalaya marked its 48th Foundation Day with a vibrant celebration, reflecting on its journey from a garage in Sector 1/B to becoming a top school in India. Founded on August 19, 1977, the school now stands as Jharkhand’s only NABET-accredited institution.

The festivities, held in the presence of Param Pujya Swamini Sanyuktanand Saraswati, included a dynamic mix of music, dance, and educational achievements. Other notable guests were Vishwarup Mukhopadhyay (President, School Management Committee), Suraj Sharma (Principal), R.N. Mallick (Treasurer), Dr. Ashok Singh (Former Principal), and Narmendra Kumar (Vice Principal).

The program began with the lighting of the lamp and was followed by a charming welcome song performed by young students. Principal Suraj Sharma addressed attendees, celebrating the school’s success and emphasizing the collective efforts of teachers, management, and parents in achieving national and international accolades. He paid tribute to Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati and acknowledged the contributions of saints and educationists in the school’s development.

The cultural segment showcased a variety of performances, including regional dances, a tribal dance from Jharkhand, and elements of Shakespearean drama, reflecting a blend of spiritual, nationalistic, and global perspectives.

Swamini Sanyuktanand Saraswati’s address underscored the need for education to focus not just on high marks and jobs but on fostering high moral values and character. She emphasized that true education should contribute to human welfare and societal harmony.

The event concluded with the honor of 115 students for their outstanding academic achievements, with awards including certificates, gold, and silver medals. The program was supported by Abhinav Singh, Kunal Anand, Isha Bharti, Satakshi, and other student council members, and ended with the school song.

The celebration was attended by various dignitaries, school staff, and teachers, marking a memorable occasion in Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s storied history.
