Ranchi: Over 250 executives from Coal India Limited (CIL) gathered at the Indian Institute of Coal Management (IICM) in Ranchi for the valedictory session of a three-day Capacity Building Program on IT Initiatives.

Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical) of Coal India Limited, and Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of CIL, were the key speakers at the session. Dr. Kamakshi Raman, Executive Director of IICM, welcomed the dignitaries, and on this occasion, both Dr. Reddy and Tripathy administered the Integrity Pledge to the attendees in English and Hindi, respectively.

In his address, Tripathy highlighted the critical role of vigilance in Coal India, underscoring the importance of preventive vigilance and ethical governance. He called on the participants to take a proactive approach in maintaining transparency and accountability in their professional duties.

Dr. Reddy, in his speech, outlined CIL’s ambitious production targets and growth strategies, stressing the need for diversification and adherence to rules and guidelines. He urged the executives to perform their duties with greater efficiency and dedication, emphasizing that hard work and commitment are key to achieving the organization’s goals.

The program, held from August 22 to 24, 2024, was organized as part of a three-month campaign initiated by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to enhance the technological competence of CIL workforce.

The Capacity Building Program at IICM aimed to equip CIL executives with the necessary IT skills to meet the evolving challenges in the coal sector, aligning with the broader objectives of the Central Vigilance Commission’s campaign.
