New Delhi: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched an ambitious digital transformation initiative named DIVE (Digital Innovation and Value Enhancement). This program aims to revolutionize LIC’s digital infrastructure to deliver an enhanced experience for its customers, field force, partners, and employees.

To spearhead this transformation, LIC has selected Infosys to develop a cutting-edge NextGen Digital Platform. This new platform will serve as an integrated, end-to-end digital insurance solution, designed to streamline customer services, business lifecycle management, and operational activities for sales intermediaries. Additionally, it will provide a robust digital front-end for branch employees.

The NextGen Digital Platform will be modular, flexible, and cloud-native, built on a platform-driven architecture capable of swiftly integrating new technologies, products, and features. It is expected to lay the groundwork for advanced business applications, including Customer & Sales Super Apps, Portals, and a Digital Branch for LIC.

Siddhartha Mohanty, CEO & Managing Director of LIC, expressed enthusiasm about the project: “Our vision is to transform LIC into a technology-enabled organization offering cutting-edge life insurance solutions. We are excited about our partnership with Infosys to develop world-class digital solutions and deliver a top-tier experience for all our stakeholders, including customers and sales intermediaries.”

Emphasizing the importance of digital transformation, Mohanty noted, “In today’s digitally connected world, customers expect instant responses whether during onboarding or post-sales service. Embracing technology allows us to gain deeper insights into our customers’ needs and leverage India’s advanced digital ecosystem to enhance our service delivery.”
