Sanjay Saxena,
Lucknow: Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Uttar Pradesh’s Panchayati Raj and Minority Welfare Minister, launched a significant attack on Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav regarding Azam Khan.
During his official visit to Azam Khan’s home district of Rampur, Rajbhar revealed that when he was with the SP, he was on his way to meet Azam Khan in Sitapur jail, but Akhilesh stopped him. He claimed Akhilesh said, “Don’t go there; we are sidelining him, and you are trying to promote him.”
Rajbhar visited Rampur recently, where he inspected various development projects and spoke to the media. Regarding SP leader Azam Khan, he said, “He is currently in jail, and the Samajwadi Party is responsible for it.
Akhilesh Yadav has always wanted to sideline him. While Akhilesh took Muslim votes, he did not support them. There were never any recruitments for them, even though the SP has been in power multiple times.
Azam Khan was never made Deputy Chief Minister. At that time, I was with Akhilesh; he wants leaders who are submissive and compliant. The Samajwadi Party is guilty in Azam Khan’s case.”
The cabinet minister further stated that the case for which Azam is imprisoned was instigated by the Samajwadi Party. He asserted that if the SP had acted within the bounds of law, Azam would not be in jail today.
He accused the SP of having 100% bias against Azam Khan. Rajbhar claimed that Akhilesh misleads Muslims for votes, uses them for electoral gain, and incites them against the BJP. When asked about the Azam family seeking a court date for a compensation of 10,000, he remarked that previously they had a strong voice, but that is no longer the case.
Panchayati Raj and Minority Welfare Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar emphasized the need for public participation to keep village panchayats clean. He stated that clean village panchayats would lead to a cleaner nation.
He noted that areas with filth breed various diseases, making this a crucial step for environmental protection. Rajbhar appealed to people to hand over their solid and liquid waste to sanitation workers daily to contribute to the success of this important government initiative, which he mentioned during his inspection program on Friday.
