New Delhi: IndiaAI, a division under the Digital India Corporation, has officially launched its fellowship program, inviting nominations from B.Tech and M.Tech students engaged in Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects. The program seeks to support students who are already beneficiaries of other fellowships, extending financial assistance for the duration of their AI-focused endeavors.
Nominations are open until September 30, 2024. Interested students can submit their applications through the official IndiaAI portal at this link, adhering to the prescribed guidelines.
The fellowship will provide one year of support for B.Tech students and up to two years for M.Tech students.
In addition, IndiaAI is reaching out to the top 50 research institutes ranked by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) to encourage their participation in the fellowship program for PhD scholars. These institutes are asked to confirm their involvement by agreeing to accept new PhD students researching AI who are not currently receiving any scholarships or salaries.
Institutes must submit their official confirmation on letterhead, signed by the head of the institution, to Kavita Bhatia, Sci ‘G’ & GC (AI & ET), via email by September 30, 2024.
Final selections for the fellowship will be based on eligibility criteria, the relevance of the research proposal, the candidate’s profile, and the availability of fellowships at the national level.
IndiaAI operates under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), aiming to democratize AI across various sectors, enhance India’s global leadership in AI, and promote the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
