Bokaro: The third day of the CBSE Cluster-3 Inter-School Basketball Tournament at DPS Bokaro featured exciting matchups, with players demonstrating exceptional coordination and agility despite intermittent rain. Teams from Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, and beyond battled for spots in the semifinals, showcasing their skills on the court.
In the Under-14 Girls category, JVM Shyamali Ranchi triumphed over Dayawati Modi Seraikela with a score of 21-02, while BVVC Jamshedpur edged out Bokaro Public School 07-04. ODM Sapphire Ranchi also secured victory against Loyola High School Patna, winning 11-04.
For the Under-14 Boys, Sree Ayyappa Public School Bokaro dominated Dhanbad Public School 34-06. DPS Bokaro narrowly defeated Mahabodhi Tree School Gaya 18-14, and Bokaro Public School achieved a convincing win against Vidya Vihar Purnia, 33-10, to move forward to the semifinals.
In the Under-17 Boys category, Sree Ayyappa Public School Bokaro outperformed Tribhuvan School Patna 26-04, MGM Bokaro defeated Baldwin Jamshedpur 17-13, Holy Mary Darbhanga edged past Shiksha Niketan Jamshedpur 07-04, and GGPS Bokaro triumphed over Oxford Public School Ranchi 22-20. Other notable matches included VVRS Purnia’s victory over DMPS Chandil (17-05) and Dhanbad Public School’s win against Scottish Public School Katihar (19-06).
The Under-19 Boys category saw Army Public School Ramgarh beat Tender Heart Ranchi 10-02, while DPS Ranchi dominated VVPS Ranchi with a score of 33-17. DPS Gaya overcame St. Joseph School Bhagalpur 20-05, and DPS Chas won against Foundation School Buxar 14-06. DPS Bokaro outclassed Sharda Global School 25-10. In the Girls category, GD Mother International School Muzaffarpur defeated Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro 13-0, and JVM Shyamali Ranchi bested DPS Bokaro 16-02. Trinity Global School Patna also secured a narrow win in the Under-17 Girls category, defeating Holy Mary International School Darbhanga 07-04.
