*Hemant Cabinet Makes Key Decisions*

Ranchi: Hemant Soren-led government approved several important measures in a significant cabinet meeting held on Friday.
The Cabinet sanctioned rules allowing advance payments of up to Rs 60 lakh for the construction of houses for Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). Additionally, Bokaro Medical College will be renamed Jagannath Mahto Medical College, a decision that has received official approval.
Further expanding healthcare infrastructure, the Cabinet allocated ₹1,000 crore for the establishment of a new medical college in Ranchi, to be located near Rin Pass.
In education, the Cabinet addressed pension issues by approving revisions to family pensions for retired teachers from non-government aided and minority schools, in line with the 7th Central Pay Scale.
The honorarium payments and service conditions for senior audit positions on a contractual basis were also redefined. Furthermore, the Cabinet endorsed a policy for vehicle scrapping.
Lastly, an amendment was approved regarding the acceptance of notional salary increments for calculating the service benefits of employees retiring on June 30 and December 31. These decisions are expected to have a substantial impact on various sectors in the state.
