Bokaro: A two-day workshop on Adolescence Education, organized by Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), concluded successfully. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Suraj Sharma, Chief Facilitator Dolan Champa Banerjee, Principal DAV Swag, Vice-Principal Manisha Sharma of Delhi Public School, Bokaro, and Vice-Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Narmendra Kumar.

Chief Facilitator Dolan Champa Banerjee emphasized the importance of adolescence education, highlighting that it shapes the future of children, society, and the nation. The workshop focused on providing accurate information, fostering healthy attitudes, and developing skills to help students, aged 10 to 19, navigate physical, mental, and emotional changes.

Manisha Sharma, Vice Principal of Delhi Public School, discussed strategies to protect adolescents from negative influences such as drug addiction, excessive social media use, and peer pressure. She underscored the vital role teachers play in guiding students through this vulnerable stage.

The workshop included interactive activities, providing teachers with new strategies for incorporating practical social education into their teaching. Facilitators stressed the need for collaborative efforts between teachers and parents to ensure children use technology responsibly.

The workshop also introduced the P.O.W.E.R. model (Power, Options, Weigh, Elect, Reflect) to help teachers positively influence classroom dynamics. Over 60 teachers attended the event, which concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Narmendra Kumar and was successfully conducted by Supriya Chaudhary.
