Lucknow: The months of October and November will be filled with festivals and celebrations. While the general public is in a festive mood, police officials are concerned about maintaining law and order. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also taking the issue of law and order seriously. He stated that any disrespectful remarks against deities, great personalities, or saints associated with any caste, faith, or community are unacceptable; however, anarchy under the guise of protest will not be tolerated either.
He emphasized that every citizen should have a sense of gratitude towards great personalities, but this cannot be imposed or forced upon anyone. The Chief Minister warned that if anyone plays with faith or makes derogatory comments against deities, great personalities, or communities, strict legal action will be taken against them. However, he also stressed that all communities must respect one another.
Yogi further stated that anarchy, vandalism, or arson in the name of protest is unacceptable. Anyone attempting such acts will have to bear the consequences. He instructed the police administration to ensure that the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri and Vijayadashami festivals are celebrated in a joyful, peaceful, and harmonious environment across all districts and police stations. Authorities should identify those intending to disrupt the peace and take strict action against them.
The Chief Minister also directed strict action against those acting against the law. Emphasizing women’s safety, he instructed increased foot patrols in crowded areas and enhanced patrols by PRV 112. He stressed the need for collaboration among all departments to ensure the safety and convenience of women and girls. Additionally, he held a review meeting with the Chief Secretary, DGP, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), and other senior officials regarding law and order, asserting that the faith of every community must be respected.
