New Delhi: A Delhi court has granted bail to former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, in connection with the land-for-jobs scam, according to media reports.
The Rouse Avenue Court set bail at Rs. 1 lakh each for the trio and mandated that they surrender their passports.
Earlier, the court had issued summons to the Yadavs after reviewing a supplementary charge sheet in the case. Following this, all three appeared before the court as required.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiated the case based on a First Information Report filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The ED submitted its final report to the court on August 6.
The next hearing for the case is scheduled for October 25.
