* Second Phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections Concludes with 67.59% Voter Turnout
Ranchi: The second and final phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections concluded on Wednesday, with voter turnout reaching 67.59% by 5 PM. The elections, held across 38 constituencies, saw a smooth voting process with 528 candidates vying for seats.
Maheshpur recorded the highest turnout at 79.40%, while Bokaro saw the lowest at 50.52%. A total of 528 candidates contested in this phase, including 472 men, 55 women, and one transgender candidate. Voting took place at 14,218 booths, with 900 of them located in Naxal-affected areas, where heavy security arrangements were put in place to ensure a peaceful polling process.
