Dhanbad: A team of 45 students from various districts of Jharkhand will embark on a seven-day cultural and educational trip to Uttarakhand, starting today, as part of Yuva Sangam (Phase V).

The initiative, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program by the Government of India, aims to strengthen connections among the youth across the country.

The journey will be flagged off by Prof. Sukumar Mishra, Director of IIT-ISM, at a ceremony held at the Scolomin Club. The students, accompanied by six coordinators, will explore Uttarakhand’s scenic landscapes and cultural heritage, including visits to Bhagwanpur, SIDCUL, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Patanjali Village, Kotdwar, Lansdowne, and Dehradun.

The team will depart from Dhanbad by train on November 28, with an industrial visit to Bhagwanpur and SIDCUL scheduled for November 30. On December 1, the group will explore the spiritual cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, including a visit to Patanjali Village. On December 2, the team will tour Kotdwar and Lansdowne, visiting significant sites such as Sidhbali Temple and Tarkeshwar Dham. The trip will conclude in Dehradun on December 3, before returning to Dhanbad on December 5.

This cultural exchange is part of an ongoing effort to foster collaboration between the youth of Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, with a reciprocal visit planned for January 2025. The program includes undergraduate, postgraduate, and off-campus youth from various Jharkhand districts, including Deoghar, Dumka, Ranchi, and Bokaro, among others.
