Bokaro: The Corporate Recyclers Conclave, aimed at promoting innovation in waste management and sustainability, was inaugurated by Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director-in-Charge of SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant, on Saturday.

The event, organized by SAIL’s Management Training Institute (MTI) and Amity University, brought together industry leaders, research institutions, and solution providers to discuss key environmental challenges.

The conference saw active participation from representatives of major companies like SAIL, Tata Steel, JSW, AMNS, Hindalco Group, ICAR, and NIT, alongside leading research institutes.

During the inaugural session, Shri Tiwari emphasized the significance of the circular economy as a tool for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and generating revenue. He stressed the importance of collaboration between industry and research sectors to drive sustainable development by transforming industrial waste into valuable resources.

Nitesh Ranjan, Assistant General Manager (ECS) at Bokaro Steel Plant, highlighted BSL’s waste management initiatives and achievements, showcasing the company’s eco-friendly policies and commitment to sustainability. Prashant Kalbande, Assistant General Manager (MRD), also represented BSL at the event and actively engaged in the discussions.

The conclave served as a platform for sharing best practices and encouraging innovation in circular economy solutions, with a focus on waste reduction and environmental impact.
