Ranchi: The state-level Teachers’ Meet and Milan Ceremony of the Jharkhand Rajya Urdu Shikshak Sangh concluded successfully at Dimna Lake, with representatives from various districts, including Ranchi, Gumla, Bokaro, and East Singhbhum, in attendance.

The event, organized jointly by East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts, was presided over by Central President Abdul Majid Khan, with Central General Secretary Amin Ahmed serving as the chief guest. Besides, other union officials and teachers from across the state, including leaders from Lohardaga, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Bokaro, and East Singhbhum districts, were present there.

In his address, Amin Ahmed emphasized the urgent need for Urdu teachers to unite and advocate for their rights. He stressed that social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook are ineffective in solving the issues faced by Urdu educators. Instead, he called for strengthening the Urdu Shikshak Sangh in every district to address fundamental issues such as teacher recruitment, the restoration of Urdu-specific resources, and the betterment of Urdu schools.

Ahmed also expressed regret over the longstanding neglect of Urdu teachers’ issues by previous unions, which resulted in the improper deployment of non-Urdu teachers in Urdu schools, further exacerbating the challenges faced by these institutions. He urged society’s intellectuals to speak out for Urdu’s rights, warning that failing to act would leave the next generation disappointed.

The ceremony included the distribution of bouquets and New Year diaries as gifts to the guest teachers. During the event, union leaders, including Shahzad Anwar, Sabir Ahmed, and Maqsood Zafar Hadi, reiterated the importance of strengthening the organization and involving more female teachers.

The event concluded with a welcome speech by Mohammad Shahabuddin Ansari and a vote of thanks from Ghulam Ahmed.
