Gaya (Bihar): Reliance Power Director Anil Ambani, accompanied by his wife Tina Ambani, arrived in Gaya on Sunday for a spiritual tour of Bihar. The couple, traveling in a special plane, landed at Gaya airport and, under tight security, proceeded to Bodh Gaya for their visit.

In Gaya, the Ambanis performed the Pind Daan ritual for their ancestors at the Manglagouri temple, with Tirth priest Shambhu Lal Vitthal leading the ceremony. Following this, the couple visited several revered temples, including the Vishnupad temple, Mangala Gauri temple, and the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya.

At the Mangala Gauri temple, the Ambanis prayed for happiness and prosperity. Later, at the Mahabodhi temple, they offered prayers at the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Buddha and meditated under the holy Bodhi tree.

Anil Ambani also performed a special Pind Daan ritual for his ancestors at the Vishnupad temple, dedicating over an hour to the ceremony. The puja material was arranged beforehand to ensure timely completion of the ritual, during which the Ambanis paid homage to Lord Vishnu and sought blessings.

The visit saw heightened security measures, with police deployed across Bodh Gaya, Vishnupad, and Mangala Gauri temples. It was also revealed that Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan had planned to join the Ambanis but could not attend. As a result, Anil Ambani performed the Pind Daan on Bachchan’s behalf for his ancestors, with the ceremony believed to help address issues related to Pitra Dosha, a Hindu ancestral curse.
