Bokaro: Seventeen-year-old Rahul Mahato from Budhibinor village has earned a spot to represent Jharkhand at the 44th NTPC Junior National Archery Championship, scheduled for 10 February in Bolpur, West Bengal.

This selection underscores the success of Vedanta ESL Archery Academy in developing young talent.

Rahul’s journey from a modest background to the national level is a testament to his dedication and the world-class training provided by the academy. A Class 11 student at SMG +2 High School Bijulia, Rahul hails from a family of four, where financial challenges have never hindered his passion for archery. Since joining the academy in June 2022, he has demonstrated exceptional skills under expert coaching.

His impressive performance at the Jharkhand Junior National Archery Team Selection Trials in Jamshedpur, where he scored 665 points among 60 top archers, secured his place as one of the state’s best. His achievement has brought pride to his community and highlighted the academy’s role in shaping young athletes.

As Rahul prepares for the championship, he carries the hopes of his family, academy, and community. His story serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes, demonstrating the power of sports in driving personal and societal growth.

The academy continues to be a center of excellence, with seven out of eight Bokaro participants in the selection trials being trained at Vedanta ESL Archery Academy, reflecting its key role in developing future champions.
