ANS: The University of Manchester, a prestigious institution known for its academic excellence and innovative research, has launched an exciting new scholarship program for Indian students aiming to study in 2025. The university has committed to offering over 230 merit-based scholarships for master’s programs, reflecting its dedication to supporting talented students globally and advancing academic diversity.

Among the various scholarships available, the Global Futures Scholarship is one of the most significant, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities. For undergraduates, the University is offering more than 100 merit-based scholarships worth up to £24,000, distributed across three years (£8,000 per year). These scholarships are open to Indian students who hold either a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the university. Applicants must submit their applications by April 10, 2025, and will be notified by April 30, 2025. Additionally, the postgraduate scholarships for South Asian students are valued at £8,000, which will be applied as a discount on tuition fees.

For postgraduate students, the GREAT Scholarship 2025 offers £10,000 towards tuition fees for selected one-year master’s programs in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. Indian students enrolling in the 2025–2026 academic year are eligible to apply for this scholarship, with applications due by April 24, 2025, and results announced by May 30, 2025.

The Humanities Postgraduate Scholarships will offer £10,000 in funding to Indian students based on academic merit, with no separate application needed. This scholarship is available for one year of study only.

Another notable opportunity is the Manchester Humanities International Excellence Scholarship, which provides up to £5,000 for self-funded Indian students, depending on the tuition fees of their chosen program. Eligible students will need to meet academic entry criteria for their program.

Additionally, the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute Taught Masters Scholarships offers £14,000 for students starting select programs in September 2025, including the MA in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response and the MSc in International Disaster Management.
