ANS: BIT Sindri made a significant mark by participating in the prestigious ‘Startup Maha Kumbh – Bharat Innovates’ event held from April 3 to April 5, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event, part of India’s Startup India initiative, is the largest of its kind, drawing over 3,000 startups, 1,000 investors, and representatives from more than 50 countries.

Under the guidance of IIC 7.0 Chairman Prof. Prakash Kumar and Convenor Dr. Rahul Kumar, ten talented students from BIT Sindri represented the institute. The participating students were Manoj Jha, Yash Kedia, Syed Adnan Ahmed, Harsh Bhargava, Vishvesh Kumar Pandey, Naveen Prajapati, Vivek Kumar Tiwari, Amit Kumar Mishra, Aman Hussain, and Anand Shrestha. They had the invaluable opportunity to engage with leading innovators and global experts in various fields.

The Startup Mahakumbh featured 10 thematic pavilions, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Healthtech, Biotech, Agtech, Energy and Climate, Fintech, Gaming, Defense and SpaceTech, Mobility, and more. This event offered a unique platform for startups to showcase their innovations, products, and services to a global audience, with a focus on funding, networking, and attracting international investors.

The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Shri Jitin Prasad, who emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in India. The Startup Mahakumbh serves as a vital networking and growth opportunity for startups, giving them a chance to connect with potential investors and collaborators.

BIT Sindri’s participation in this event highlights the institute’s growing presence in the startup ecosystem and its commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
