Ranchi: A heartfelt farewell was extended to 112 retiring employees from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). The CCL family bid adieu to nine personnel from various departments of the CCL Headquarters, including Ram Babu Prasad, Director (Technical/Operations); Rajesh Mishra, General Manager (M&S), Quality Dept.; Ramakant Mishra, Chief Manager (Mining), NIMS Dept.; Manoj Kumar, Chief Manager (Excavation), CCMC Department; Ranjan Samanta, Chief Manager (Environment), Forest Department; Basant Kumar Manjhi, Sub Engineer, Municipal Administration Department; Ghanshyam Singh, Chief Pharmacist, A-1, Gandhinagar Hospital; Braj Bihari Singh, Foreman Incharge, A-1; and Shrikant Thakur, Foreman (Electrical), A-1.

A special “Samman- sah-Vidai” ceremony was organised by CCL to mark this occasion, with the presence of CCL CMD Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra, and Director Technical (Planning/Project) B. Sairam. In February alone, 112 employees retired from CCL, including those from the headquarters.

During the ceremony, a short film featuring the work experiences of the retiring personnel was screened, showcasing memorable moments from their service. The retirees expressed their gratitude towards the company, highlighting its integral role in their lives and wishing for its continued development.

Notable contributions were recognised, particularly those of Ram Babu Prasad, who, with his versatile talent and leadership skills, significantly contributed to the company’s progress. Dr. Reddy commended all retiring employees for their service, noting that their contributions had propelled the company towards success. He expressed appreciation for their hard work and wished them well in their future endeavours.

Director Technical (Planning/Project) B. Sairam wished the retirees a healthy life ahead, advising them to engage in constructive activities. Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra advised the retirees to maintain a healthy lifestyle, acknowledging the support and sacrifice of their families throughout their service.

Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra assured the retirees that they would always be a part of the CCL family and encouraged them to continue sharing their experiences and suggestions.

The retiring employees were honoured with shawls, gifts, and mementos. The ceremony was attended by General Managers, Heads of Departments, and family members of the retiring employees. The Welfare Department and other related departments played a significant role in organising the successful event.”
