ANS: The BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi has implemented a dress code and guidelines for visitors to adhere to while visiting the sacred site.
The temple, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14th of this year, has established certain rules to maintain decorum within its premises. According to the guidelines, pets are not permitted inside the temple grounds, and visitors are prohibited from bringing outside food and drinks.
Additionally, the use of drones within the temple compound is strictly forbidden.
The dress code guidelines state, “Please dress in line with the following guidelines: Cover the area of the body between the neck, the elbow, and the ankles. Caps, t-shirts, and other clothing articles with offensive designs are not allowed. Do not wear translucent or tight-fitting clothing. Avoid clothing articles and accessories that make distracting noises or reflections.”
Temple authorities have stated that visitors who do not comply with these guidelines or are deemed to be inappropriately dressed by staff may be denied entry.
The BAPS Hindu temple, sprawling over 27 acres and constructed at a cost exceeding Rs. 700 crore, is regarded as a symbol of the growing bond between India and the United Arab Emirates.
The temple, built by the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), is situated in Abu Mreikhah, near Al Rahba.
