Gurugram: Maruti Suzuki India has issued a recall for over 16,000 units of its two popular car models due to a fuel pump motor fault, according to media reports.

India’s leading carmaker has announced the recall of 11,851 units of the Baleno and 4,190 units of the WagonR models manufactured between July and November 2019, as per Reuters.

Maruti stated, “It is suspected that there is a possible defect in a part of the fuel pump motor, which in a rare case may lead to engine stalling or engine starting issue,” according to the report.
