New Delhi: In a significant development, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a prominent aerospace and defense corporation, has inaugurated AeroSpace Services India (ASI) in New Delhi. This move aligns with the principles of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, aimed at fostering self-reliance and indigenous manufacturing.

The establishment of ASI underscores IAI’s deepening collaboration with India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Together, they are engaged in the development and maintenance of advanced military systems within India. ASI serves as the sole OEM Technical Representative for the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) system.

The partnership between India and Israel aims to leverage IAI’s cutting-edge technology and India’s expertise in defense. Boaz Levy, President and CEO of IAI, described this collaboration as a significant stride towards India’s self-sufficiency. He expressed confidence that this cooperation would lead to unprecedented growth and prosperity for both nations.

ASI, which currently employs 50 individuals, with 97% of them being Indian nationals, has strategically established branches across India from its base in Delhi. This widespread network underscores ASI’s commitment to providing nationwide coverage and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The launch of ASI represents a major milestone in India-Israel relations, demonstrating the mutual commitment of both nations to jointly develop defense technologies. The convergence of Israeli innovation and Indian experience is expected to enhance India’s defense sector significantly.
