Gua: Gua SAIL Hospital will host a cervical cancer eradication camp today, announced Dr. Bharti Kashyap, President of the Women Doctors Wing IMA Jharkhand and former Co-President of the Women Doctors Wing National IMA.

Organized by the National Health Mission Jharkhand in collaboration with the Women Doctors Wing IMA Jharkhand, the camp aims to screen for infections caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), a leading cause of cervical cancer.

Dr. Kashyap emphasized the importance of early detection and urged individuals to attend the camp if they exhibit risk factors such as engaging in sexual intercourse before the age of 18, having multiple sexual partners, a personal history of sexual diseases, multiple pregnancies, long-term use of contraceptive pills without medical advice, a weak immune system, smoking, or tobacco consumption.

The camp will offer free treatment and consultations. Attendees can dial 108 for ambulance services. For additional health information, a toll-free number, 104, is available.
