New Delhi: Pakistan has extended an invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Islamabad. This invitation comes as Modi begins his third consecutive term following the recent general elections.
The SCO meeting is scheduled to be held on October 15 and 16, 2024, in Islamabad. As the host nation, Pakistan has invited not only PM Modi but also representatives from other member states to participate in the summit.
Both India and Pakistan are full members of the SCO, which was established on June 15, 2001, in Shanghai by Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
