Kanpur: The much-anticipated Test match between India and Bangladesh is set to commence today at the historic Green Park Stadium, running from September 27 to 1 October. Cricket enthusiasts have shown tremendous enthusiasm, with tickets worth lakhs already sold for the event.

As both teams prepare for the match, concerns about weather conditions are mounting, with forecasts predicting rain that could potentially disrupt play. This uncertainty has impacted Team India’s practice sessions, hindering them from completing their scheduled training.

In light of the expected influx of fans, the Commissionerate Police has implemented extensive security measures to ensure the safe conduct of the match. Authorities are committed to maintaining order as cricket fans flock to the venue.

The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for light to heavy rain on the first day of the Test, with similar conditions expected over the following four days.

Despite the weather concerns, players have been making the most of their practice time. Star batsman Virat Kohli managed a 30-minute training session, while Ravindra Jadeja also put in significant effort in the nets. Rishabh Pant focused on perfecting his shots, and local talent Kuldeep Yadav impressed by bowling to Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, showcasing his spin bowling skills. Coach Gautam Gambhir conducted a pitch inspection to ensure everything is in order for the match.

This Test match marks the second in a two-match series between India and Bangladesh, with all preparations finalized to deliver an exciting experience for both fans and players.
