Kanpur: Rain continued to wreak havoc on the second day of the Test match between India and Bangladesh at Green Park, forcing officials to halt play once again. Spectators, eager to witness the action, were left frustrated as they returned home without seeing any cricket.

The match had started promisingly for India, with the Indian bowlers claiming three quick wickets on the first day. However, persistent rain soon became a significant obstacle, preventing any further play. Despite hopes for a resumption on Saturday morning, the match, scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM, was delayed due to the ongoing downpour.

Both teams were forced to return to their hotels as the weather showed no signs of improvement. Disappointment was palpable among the fans, many of whom expressed their frustration over the wasted ticket purchases, as they left the stadium without witnessing any action on the field.

Ground staff worked tirelessly throughout the morning to dry the pitch and surrounding areas, using equipment like super shapers and protective covers in hopes of salvaging the day’s play. Despite their efforts, the weather proved uncooperative, leaving fans disheartened after traveling long distances for the match.

As the rain continued to fall, cricket enthusiasts were left hoping for a clearer outlook in the days to come.
