Bokaro: Bokaro girl, Darshana Kopal, an alumna of DPS Bokaro, has achieved a remarkable feat by gaining admission to the prestigious Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), marking a proud moment for both her school and the state of Jharkhand.
Enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Science and Design for the academic years 2024-2028, Darshana’s acceptance resulted from her outstanding performance on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). She earned a perfect score of 800 in Mathematics on the SAT and achieved a commendable score of 7.5 on the IELTS. Her selection followed a series of rigorous assessments, including reading, writing, listening, coding tests, and interviews, all of which she excelled in.
Recognising her academic excellence and impressive interview performance, the Singapore government awarded her a scholarship.
Darshana had also received offers from top universities in Australia, the UK, and Singapore but chose SUTD as her preferred institution.
Expressing her gratitude, Darshana highlighted the crucial role that DPS Bokaro played in her success. The entire DPS Bokaro community celebrated this achievement, with Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar offering heartfelt congratulations and wishing her a bright future. He emphasised the school’s commitment to the holistic development of its students and its dedication to providing opportunities for pursuing diverse career paths.
