Ranchi: The Coal India Medical Conference (CIMECON) 2024, organized by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), is set to take place from October 25 to 27 at the Darbhanga House, CCL Convention Center in Ranchi. This year’s theme is “Health Priorities – Present and Future,” and the event will kick off with a Pre-Conference Workshop and CMS Meet.
The three-day conference will feature over 15 nationally and internationally renowned speakers who will discuss recent advances and future challenges in various medical fields. Approximately 300 doctors from Coal India Limited and its associated companies are expected to attend, providing them with valuable insights into the latest research and advanced technologies in healthcare.
Highlighting the event will be presentations from four distinguished medical experts:
Padma Bhushan Dr. S. K. Sarin – Director of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi, Dr. Sarin is renowned for his expertise in hepatology, particularly in liver cirrhosis, hepatitis B and C, and liver transplantation.
Padma Shri Dr. N. K. Pandey – Chairman and Managing Director of the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in Faridabad, Dr. Pandey is a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery and surgical oncology, significantly advancing laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques in India.
Padma Shri Dr. Randeep Guleria – Former Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, and currently Chairman of Internal Medicine and Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Dr. Guleria was instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic, advising on public health strategies.
Padma Shri Dr. J. S. Titiyal – Chief of the Dr. R.P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Titiyal has made significant contributions to cataract surgery, cornea transplantation, and refractive surgery techniques.
CIMECON 2024 aims to bring together the medical community of Coal India on a unified platform, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences to enhance doctors’ capabilities and improve healthcare services.
