Bokaro : In a magnificent display of academic distinction and cultural extravaganza, DPS Bokaro celebrated its Annual Function cum Scholar Badge Felicitation Ceremony, ‘NAKSHATRA 2024’ today in the school premises.
A total of 365 students were felicitated with certificates and badges for their outstanding performances in the academic session 2023-2024.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Rajan Prasad, Executive Director (HR) & Additional Charge ED (Works) BSL and Pro Vice Chairman (Board of Management) DPS Bokaro, commended the prize winners for their achievements stating that the school has always made its mark at the national and international level, creating global citizens. He urged the young learners not only to achieve their goals of success but also to make this society, nation, world and mother earth a better and safer place to live in. The Special Guest of the occasion was Priti Sharan.
Earlier the ceremony commenced with the sapling presentation promoting the ‘Go Green’ campaign of the school, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The cultural extravaganza featured a symphonious orchestra performance, a melodious welcome song, a stirring special song on ‘Devi Aradhana’ and a powerful dance performance ‘Kollattam’. Children of Deepansh Shiksha Kendra, a school run under the aegis of DPS Bokaro, were presented with winter outfits reflecting the school’s motto of ‘Service Before Self’. The school conducted a voting pledge and distributed pamphlets to promote electoral awareness and encourage responsible voting. On this special occasion the 36th edition of the school’s annual magazine ‘DIPS Reflection’ was also released. The Head Girl, Ananya Raj, delivered the welcome address, while the vote of thanks was given by the Head Boy, Kanhaiya Bhardwaj. The programme was compered by Parth, Swara, Prishu, and Gracy.
The Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar congratulated the prize recipients and encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence with passion, dedication and resilience. He emphasized that the world today demands not just excellence in academics but also compassion and integrity among young leaders.
