Gaya: The political landscape in Bihar is heating up as the assembly by-elections approach, particularly following Prashant Kishore’s recent transformation of the “Jan Suraj Abhiyan” into an official political party on October 2. This move has sparked controversy, with various parties in the state launching what Kishore describes as baseless allegations against him and his initiative.

In a pointed response, Kishore accused his political rivals of perpetuating nepotism, emphasizing their preoccupation with their own interests rather than the welfare of the communities they claim to represent. “These individuals are primarily concerned about their families,” Kishore remarked, specifically referencing Jitan Ram Manjhi’s political career. Kishore highlighted Manjhi’s appointments, noting that he became a minister at the Center, secured a ministerial role for his son in Bihar, and is now attempting to position his daughter-in-law as an MLA following the vacancy of his seat. “His focus has not been on the Musahar community but rather on his family,” Kishore asserted.

As the by-election campaign intensifies, candidates Jitendra Paswan from Imamganj and Mohammad Amjad from Belaganj are actively engaging with voters in their respective constituencies. Meanwhile, Kishore’s Jan Suraj workers are diligently working to disseminate their party’s message, canvassing door-to-door to garner support for their vision of governance.

The upcoming elections promise to be a crucial battleground for the political factions in Bihar, as they vie for influence and support amidst escalating tensions and accusations.
