Bokaro: In a celebration of creativity and talent, Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro hosted the ‘DPS Star Contest’ to showcase the artistic excellence of its students. Held on school premises, the event highlighted performances across various categories, including Solo Song, Solo Instrumental, Orchestra, Dance, and Visual Arts, reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic education and personal development.
The contest featured an impressive lineup of performances, with solo vocalists captivating the audience with their powerful voices, orchestral groups delivering rich harmonies, dancers mesmerizing onlookers with their expressive movements, and young artists showcasing evocative visual art pieces, each telling its own unique story. This diversity of talent underscored the school’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
Recognizing outstanding performances, Keshav Nandan (Class X) claimed first place in the Solo Instrumental (tabla) category, while Soham (Class X) and Raman Chaturvedi (Class IX) shared the second position. Ayush Raj (Class XI) took home the third prize. In the Orchestra competition, the top honors went to Bhawini Sinha & Group, followed by Om Raj & Group in second place, and Avinish Jha & Group in third.
In the Solo Song Competition, Dhruv Jyoti (Class VI) secured first place, with Prasoon Pankaj (Class XII) and Piyush (Class XI) taking second and third, respectively. The Dance Competition saw Sophia Aqeel (Class XI) earning the top spot, followed by Rimik B. Surya (Class IX) in second, and Lenisha (Class VII) and Sparshi Sarkar (Class VI) sharing third place.
In the Visual Arts group category, Arjit Anukul and his team claimed first place, with Soham Raj and team securing second, and Sheetal Rajput and her team taking third. In the Visual Arts Solo category, Arush Srivastava, Sayee Dhaani, and Ishank Raj won first, second, and third places, respectively.
Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar commended the exceptional enthusiasm and performances of the participants, stating, “The DPS Star Contest is a testament to the extraordinary potential of our students. It provides a platform to pursue passion with dedication.”
