Bokaro: The 48th annual Gyan Vigyan Mela at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro concluded with great enthusiasm, showcasing a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity. Over 400 students participated, displaying their creativity across 25 stalls focused on the theme “Prosperous India, Safe World.” The exhibition highlighted India’s achievements in the 21st century through engaging projects.
Kundan Kumar, Chief General Manager of Municipal Administration at Bokaro Steel Plant, and Aarti Kumari were the chief guests, warmly welcomed by students with traditional Tilak Mishri.
Principal Suraj Sharma honored the guests with bouquets. Special attendees included Param Pujya Swamini Sanyuktananda Saraswati from the Acharya Chinmaya Mission, along with other dignitaries. The event commenced with the lighting of a lamp accompanied by the chanting of mantras.
In his inaugural address, Kundan Kumar emphasized the importance of scientific thinking for India’s development, stating that technological progress is essential for the country to become a global superpower.
He encouraged students to engage in science and innovation, reinforcing the event’s relevance to modern India. After his speech, he officially opened the Gyan-Vigyan Mela, themed “Samridh Bharat Surakshit Vishwa,” and received souvenirs from the organizers.
Following the inauguration, guests visited each stall, interacting with students to understand their scientific viewpoints. One notable stall, “Literature and Nature,” explored how great writers have appreciated and nurtured the environment.
The exhibition featured 20 stalls addressing various themes, including Indian Transportation, Defense, Agriculture, and Artificial Intelligence. Students from nursery to class 11 presented impressive models, showcasing aspects of India’s growth, from cultural heritage to advancements in science and technology.
Among the highlights was the “India Vibrant Democracy” stall, where students educated visitors on the voting process and the importance of civic participation. The stall attracted considerable attention, with visitors engaging in interactive displays and taking selfies after casting mock votes.
The event culminated in a jury evaluation of the projects, with awards announced for the best exhibits. Shaival Gupta coordinated the Gyan-Vigyan Mela, supported by teachers, staff, and student council members, all contributing to the event’s success.
