Bokaro: Adhering to its social responsibility Vedanta-Electrosteel Group (ESL) donated high accuracy thermal body temperature measurement equipment to the district administration Bokaro to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, Sanjay Sinha and Sumit Varman of ESL handed over 120 thermal guns to Mukesh Kumar Deputy Commissioner Bokaro so that the screening works in the area can be intensified.
Welcoming the ESL’s move Kumar said, at the time of such pandemic this thermal gun is very useful to detect and protect the residents from Coronavirus infection, especially for those who used to go in the field to identify the COVID-19 infected persons; moving from house to house, for collecting health-related information.
“With this thermal gun, field personnel like ANM and Sahia could be facilitated. It will facilitate a lot in the investigation and identification of suspects. It will also help the policemen posted on the bounder areas of the district,” said Kumar.
Kumar said, Bokaro district administration is continuously getting supported by ESL management in the fight against the global pandemic.
“I would like to thank to the entire ESL management for their generous support,” added DC.
While fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, people from all walks of life and institutions from all over the world have also shown goodwill and donated various anti-pandemic materials to places in need.
We are always with administration, at the time of such crisis we are ready for kind of support or requirement by the administration, said Sanjay Sinha of ESL.
Meanwhile, the district administration today also got 9 fogging guns; four fogging guns have been provided by the Bank of India while five fogging guns have been purchased from the District Disaster Management.
Speaking on the occasion DC said, work of sanitization of the district is constantly being done, though “the arrival of 9 fogging guns will accelerate the work,” he added.
